Philip J.'s Story
Hopefully in a good way.
I always wanted to be a Farmer, or Truck driver when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a not so great idea. As it turns out, they were correct.
I've always done craft work (Native American style), but most recently I've added wood turning to the mix. I have a web site that is still being worked on (by me and a couple of other people) as I tell you this, but it is developing. If you would like to check it out please feel free to log in at boldpens.com.
I was not ever very wild and crazy in school, although I was a hellion outside of school.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have an interest, enjoy what I'm doing, and like the people to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
Freedom inspires me, so, Crazy Horse and Brave Heart (William Walace).
After I graduated from URI I worked in RI for a time in my field of interest, but in order for me to really experience Natural Resource Development (spacifically Forestry and Wildlife Mgt) I moved out to the state of Wyoming and lived there almost a year, but ended up coming back to RI. I would have rather stayed in Wyoming though, job, or no job. My heart and my spirit have always been in the west.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Rose Simose, because I lost something great after we parted and went our seperate ways to college and beyond.
Individualized sports has always been the way I've gone; weight lifting, canoeing, swimming, horseback riding. I do love animals now, as I always have. I have two Scottish Terriers, Shames (James) and Angus (Gus), plus a pond full of Japanese Koi.
I find it to be quite ironic, that I never truly enjoyed the University (College) experience, yet I work at a University, Brown University to be exact.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel much of the inside and add on a "real" work shop. My dream home would be In the Mountains somewhere between a small ...Expand for more
town and the wilderness.
I don't have children of my own, but I do have a neice and nephew of whom I am very proud. They have taught me many things (maybe not how to spell), but many things just the same. They are both very intellegent, but mostly they are very nice people.
Miss DeSiva, I loved this lady.
If I won $100 million, I'd give (Share) most of it to with my family, then spend the rest on donate to Boston Children's Hospilal, travel to various locals and buy a home in Scotland.
Yes, I lived in a dorm at URI. Never joined a frat and NO don't care to talk much about campus life at all.
To be truly happy I would be living in the mountains (somewhere) preferably Wyoming, but any place else in the mountains would be acceptable.
My current age is 53. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be really, really, really, OLD. I was so completely right, (I mean Wrong).
I am a Laboratory Technician at Brown.
Kathy Donally, from, like 1st grade, I have no idea?
My best friend would tell you I'm the same as always, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as friendly and quiet.
Blue jeans and tee shirts, buckskins and (preferably no shoes)
Worked at a factory for about 4 years
I share my home with my Parents and my dogs, which I find to be ok..
Sorry, no trophies!
If I had one do over I'd change my life from my college years and wood have gone into the Arts maybe even RISD
In 10 years, I hope to be retired and self employed. I'm going to get there by continuing to work at Brown and do my own craft stuff on the side.
Peter. We met in the 4th grade and it seemed that we always liked the same things over all of the years we have been friends.
No Hair on my head, but plenty on my face
My first job was at Agawam, where I got paid peanuts to cut grass. What I remember most about it is that I'm glad I've moved along.
Watching clouds float by while laying in the grass.
